The Minnesota Twins’ top prospects didn’t perform well again this week, but the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels had a lot of players play at a high level.

• Curtis Terry played for the Twins this spring training but ultimately didn’t make the Opening Day roster. He probably will never play for Minnesota, but he’s been an underrated asset for the St. Paul Saints this season.

AA

DaShawn Keirsey Jr., CF

• DaShawn Keirsey Jr. has struggled this season, but this week, he was the best hitter for the Wichita Wind Surge. He drove in five RBIs and collected a hit in every game but one.

High-A

Yunior Severino, 2B
5 Games, .429 BA (7/19), 2 HR, 8 RBI, 2 BB, 5 SO

• Yunior Severino went four-for-four, with two home runs and four runs batted in on June 15th. Since coming off the IL, the 22-year-old has been hitting .255, with an OPS of .805.

Cade Povich, #23, SP
1 Game, 1-0, 5.0 IP, 3.60 ERA, 3 H, 2 BB, 11 SO, 1 HR

• Yet another game where Cade Povich has looked dominant. If he keeps this trajectory up, he’ll be up in Double-A before the season ends.

Cody Laweryson, RHP
2 Games, 5.2 IP, 0.00 ERA, 4 H, 2 BB, 11 SO

• Cody Laweryson is a player that has flown under the radar but has been good since getting drafted by the Twins. He’s dominated both righties and lefties this season and is yet to give up a home run.

Low-A

Kala’i Rosario, OF
4 Games, .429 BA (6/14), 2 HR, 5 RBI, 1 BB, 3 SO

• Kala’i Rosario was on the Twins’ top 30 prospects for a brief time, but even without the ranking, he’s still been one of the best hitters in Low-A. During the month of June, he’s hitting .320 and has driven in eight runs.

Rubel Cespedes, IF
5 Games, .529 BA (9/17), 1 HR, 5 RBI, 1 BB, 4 SO

• Rubel Cespedes has only played 14 games for Fort Myers, but in that short span, he’s been great. He’s hitting .375 and has an OPS of .955 as a 21-year-old.

Matt Mullenbach, RHP
2 Games, 1-0, 5.1 IP, 0.00 ERA, 3 H, 2 BB, 8 SO

• Matt Mullenbach has come in and pitched multiple innings for the Mighty Mussels this season. For many teams, that’s a valuable asset, especially when you’re starting pitcher can’t go the distance. The 25-year-old has looked good so far in 12 games.
